Historic farmhouse renovations

Another significant project for us with Steve and yet again again another fantastic result. Having initially just wanted the creation of a new dining room the project became a bigger and a lot more complicated when we uncovered some original 16th Century features in a neighbouring room. Steve was incredibly creative in delivering what we wanted within our budget and we are thrilled with the final result which has very much returned the room back to its former glory.

Sun Room extension

Having used Steve once before and been very pleased with the result, we asked him to build a conservatory/sun room/garden room. The project with a high specification involved the knocking down of an existing part of the building and then constructing the conservatory. Steve had to overcome a few technical issues along the way which were always discussed with us with useful tips and ideas about which materials to use to enhance the build. We are extremely pleased with the conservatory and the quality of the workmanship. Steve worked very hard and paid a lot of attention to detail therby ensuring that we have an excellent addition to our house that blends beautifully with the existing building. Damp treatment, plastering , parapet wall repairs and leadwork

My 4th tranch of work for Steve this year principally involved tanking a lounge that had previously suffered from damp. Not only was Steve's suggested resolution spot on but the work was completed on time and now looks fantastic. As part of this Steve relined and reshaped a drainage gulley at the back of the house and also hand cast a concrete window ledge. Create 2 new bathrooms with modern fittings from one large old fashioned bathroom.

Steve is a fine craftsman who produces fine quality work and he takes care to ensure that the team working with him maintain a similar high standard. He is sympathetic to the demands of old buildings and ready with ideas on how best to design and construct alterations in keeping with the character of the building.

We found Steve's work keenly priced and any work beyond the original budget was fully justified and the result of sensible discussion and agreement. In short Steve can be trusted to deliver an excellent piece of work and we would have no hesitation in inviting him back to Rewe Farm again for another project.

Waterfall and landscaping drainage - repeat client 3rd job this year

I needed Steve to come up with a creative and aesthetic solution for some drainage problems we had. Not only did he very much fix the problem but we now have a lovely waterfall feature and seating area next to a stream. Our thanks to Steve for another job really well done! Multiple jobs

Having known Steve over more years than I care to mention, I have been involved with him, both as a contractor employed by him and as a repeat customer who admires his services.He is without doubt one of the best allround builders I know. His knowledge & understanding of what is required to complete a succesful project to a very high standard and above all his ability to provide peace of mind is second to none.,

I can guarantee that on any job he undertakes from start to finish will be thought out and executed to the very best of his ability.  Sub contractors will be programmed to carry out their tasks when required so as to keep the project moving forward with few (if any) delays. Finally one of his true pluses is his after care service. He is not the builder who leaves site, never to be seen again, his customers are his prime concern. Re-roof and other work

I have known Steve Watts for nearly 20 years during which time I have used him on several occasions to do work on our house. He has done various works including replacement windows, firtting a new kitchen including all plumbing to erecting new fencing.  The most recent job was to completely strip the roof to replace rotten battens then replacing all the insulation and underlay to the latest specifications - a job with which I have been very satisfied. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any building work, as whatever he takes on, he is obviously extremely capable. Re-roofing

Just a few lines to say Alan and I are delighted with our roof - the smartest on the estate! (except for all the others yoju have done!). Having had a horrendous experience with a cowboy builder, we were naturally anxious but you put our minds art ease and we would recommend you for your professionalism and very approachable manner to anyone. Kitchen Alteration

We recently had french doors fitted into our kitchen and an existing internal doorway widened.. All aspects of the work (including knocking a large opening in the wall, installing the doors, building steps and making good etc) were carried out to a very high standard and with careful attention to detail. Steve turned up when he said they would, kept us informed on progress and tidied up at the end of each day.  We would certainly use them again and would recommend to others. Barn Conversion

I don't think I could recommend anyone more highly. I had been badly ripped off by another building firm and they truly rescued me and my project. They restored my faith in builders.  They are honest and absolutely trustworthy. Their work has been of a very high standard and my (Grade 11 Listed) barn has ended up even more beautiful than I could ever have hoped. They have given me excellent advice throughout the project and helped me realise my dream. Raised decking pathway

' Steve has just built a pathway between my mother's cottage and our house and we are absolutely thrilled with the work. Not only did he meet the challenge of a fairly dificult spec, which included the need to create a raised path that was both anti-slip and wheelchair friendly, but he did so in such a way that it has become a real feature in our garden. The work has been completed to a very high standard, on time and with a real attention to detail. We would highly recommend Steve and very much intend to use him in the future. Revamped Kitchen

' After waiting for him to do everyone else's work, he finally got around to me!  He has completely renovated my kitchen and as usual he has done a wonderful job. He has replaced all the units and fitted new appliances after knocking out a wall to make it bigger. He organised the electrician and the plumber and they all worked together seamlessly. He has always been a hard taskmaster, most of all on himself and constantly works to the best of his ability .  Everything he does is of an extremely high standard.  As an example this was officially acknowledged when he won the LABC Excellence Awards way back in 2010 in Somerset for the best domestic extension at Woodlands, Monkton House.
